Flying the Hawaiian Islands
So how do you navigate a state that encompasses eight islands? Planes. In Hawaii, inter-island travel occurs via plane. For around $50 you can grab a flight to one of the neighboring islands. I booked a cheap flight from Honolulu to Kona where I will spend the next 4 days exploring the big island.
I boarded my Aloha Airlines flight after meeting a new friend in the airport
and got a seat on the left hand side of the plane so I could seat some of the other islands via air. I got some great aerial shots of Oahu, including the Punchbowl

Diamond Head

and Hanamura Bay.

I ended up falling asleep before snapping pics of the other islands. I awoke 20 minutes later at Kona. I was afforded the unique opportunity to deplane via the back door.

After grabbing my bags, I made it to Kona to witness a beautiful sunset.
