Sweet Home Chicago
For the first time since February, I was fortunate enough to be in Chicago for the week. The original plan was to be in Chicago to take part in the city's excitement of the Chicago Cubs being in the World Series but you would think by now I should have learned not to plan my life around the Cubs. Instead I watched one of the most bizare World Series ever.
Being in Chicago this week, I realized how much I miss being in the city. I don't think it is anything in particular it is the random nights hanging out with friends that I enjoy the most and it was good to have them around this week. On Tuesday, I went shopping for my Halloween outfit with a few of them. After the shop, it was off to a bar to just sit around, drink some beers, eat some food and catch-up. When you only live in the city 3 days a week, it is hard to do that.
In the next few weeks, I get to spend a little more time in Chicago, so I am looking forward to getting reacquainted with an old friend.
